  1. Purpose

The purpose of this guide will be to provide a how to guide for video appointments.

  1. Video appointment eligibility

  1. Patients that have a video appointment booked either by the referrer for the 1st treatment session, or a further appointment booked by the therapist.

  1. A video appointment will only be booked in if you have added that appointment type to your schedule (see creating availability guide).

  1. The use of the video platform via the platform is not mandatory but recommended.

  1. The patient must use the Patient platform either via weblink or the app. The patient is made aware of this at booking via the booking confirmation.

  1. If the VHG platform is not used for the appointment, then the patient must have communications on how and what solution is being used for the video.  The patient is made aware of this at booking via the booking confirmation.

  1. The video call functionality becomes active 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment and can be accessed throughout that appointment time.

  1. Connecting to the video call

  1. Video appointment functionality

On completion of the video call the Health History notes section loads up with the rough notes pulling through if added as per the below.

  1. Video call and completing notes

As described previously it is possible to complete the rough notes section as part of the video call functionality. If whilst on a video call you wanted to complete the notes within Health History, this can be achieved firstly by duplicating the screen prior to the video call.

Navigate one of the tabs to the video call and keep the other tab on Health History.

Left click and drag one of the tabs to the right and the repeat dragging the other to the left.  This will mean you can have both tabs appearing on 1 screen as per the below.

You can now view the video and functionality whilst filling in the notes on the Health History. This is for 1 screen setup, if you have 2 screens then tabs can be dragged to the different screens.
